Andrew Lintott - Andrew Lintott
Andrew William Lintott (nascido em 9 de dezembro de 1936) é um estudioso clássico britânico especializado em história política e administrativa da Roma Antiga , direito romano e epigrafia . Ele é um bolsista emérito do Worcester College, University of Oxford .
Biografia
De 1958 a 1960, Lintott foi segundo-tenente da Artilharia Real . Depois de deixar o serviço, ele foi professor assistente e professor de clássicos no King's College London de 1960 a 1967. Ele foi professor e então professor sênior de história antiga na Universidade de Aberdeen (1967-81), e também professor e professor de história antiga de história no Worcester College Oxford (1981–2004), onde se tornou leitor em 1996 e professor em 1999.
Em 1990, Lintott era um membro visita do Institute for Advanced Study em Princeton . Ele foi bolsista Hugh Last na Escola Britânica de Roma em 1994 e professor visitante na Universidade do Texas em Austin em 2002.
