David C. Nicolle (nascido em 4 de abril de 1944) é um historiador britânico especializado em história militar da Idade Média , com particular interesse no Oriente Médio .
David Nicolle trabalhou para a BBC Arabic antes de obter seu mestrado na SOAS, University of London . Ele obteve um PhD na Universidade de Edimburgo . Ele lecionou arte e arquitetura islâmica e mundial na Universidade Yarmouk , na Jordânia . Ele também fez parte do conselho editorial da Revista de História Medieval .
Nicolle se casou com uma americana, Colette Giroux, em 1976; eles têm um filho Frederick Joseph ("Fred", nascido em 1982) e uma filha Dra. Antoinette Laura ("Nette", nascida em 1984). Ele agora vive e trabalha em Chipping Barnet , Londres .
