Geoffrey Cantor - Geoffrey Cantor
Geoffrey N. Cantor (nascido em 1943) é Professor Emérito de História e Filosofia da Ciência na University of Leeds e Honorary Senior Research Associate no Departamento de Estudos de Ciência e Tecnologia da UCL na University College London . Ele escreveu sobre Michael Faraday , a teoria ondulatória da luz e as respostas dos quacres e das religiões judaicas à ciência. Com John Hedley Brooke, ele proferiu a Gifford Lecture 1995-1996 na University of Glasgow , que foi posteriormente publicada como Reconstruting Nature: The Engagement of Science and Religion em 1998. Ele contribuiu para o Projeto SciPer , que pesquisa a popularização da ciência no periódicos do século 19, como o Boy's Own Paper and Punch , e lecionou sobre o assunto na Royal Institution em 2005.
