Sigmund von Imhoff (30 de junho de 1881 - 7 de julho de 1967) foi Generalmajor na Luftwaffe durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial .

Biografia

Wilhelm Maria Sigmund Heinrich, Freiherr von Imhoff, nasceu membro da família Imhoff em Metz , Lorena, em 30 de junho de 1881. Seu pai, Christoph Gustav Karl Sigmund, era um oficial em Metz, uma cidade fronteiriça do Império Alemão.

Sigmund von Imhoff serviu como oficial do exército alemão durante a Primeira Guerra Mundial . Após a guerra, von Imhoff serviu como oficial no Landespolizei Freistaates do Bayern, a polícia da Baviera. Em 3 de abril de 1933, Sigmund von Imhoff foi promovido ao posto de Polizeigeneral , general da polícia. Seu filho, Sigmund, major no Heer, caiu na frente russa em agosto de 1941. Sigmund von Imhoff foi posteriormente destacado para a Luftwaffe, com o posto de Generalmajor.
