Siri Kaur - Siri Kaur
Siri Kaur (n. Boston, MA, 1976) é um artista e fotógrafo que examina identidades que ocupam dualidades, diversidade e contradição, com um olhar rigoroso para a qualidade fotográfica da magia. Ela recebeu seu MFA do The California Institute of the Arts, e um MA e um BA do Smith College. O trabalho de Kaur foi tema de exposições individuais na Blythe Projects, Cohen Gallery e Kopeikin Gallery, em Los Angeles; em 99 ¢ Plus, Nova York; no Vermont Center for Photography e no Los Angeles County Museum of Art. As exposições coletivas incluem as do Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, do San Antonio Museum of Art, da Aperture Foundation, do Portland Museum of Art, do Camera Club de Nova York, do Torrance Museum of Art e do Museum of Photographic Arts, entre outras. O trabalho de Kaur foi revisado no ARTFORUM, The Los Angeles Times, The New Yorker, The Wall Street Journal e The Washington Post. Ela foi professora de Belas Artes no Otis College of Art and Design de 2007-2018. Em 2014, a Leroy Press publicou a primeira monografia de Kaur, This Kind of Face, que documentou o mundo dos imitadores de celebridades. Ela mora e trabalha em Los Angeles.
