Steve Heller é um autor americano. Seu romance The Automotive History of Lucky Kellerman foi uma seleção do Book-of-the-Month Club . Seus escritos receberam um National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship e dois prêmios O. Henry . Ele é o Presidente do Programa de Mestrado em Belas Artes em Redação Criativa na Antioch University Los Angeles .
Heller cresceu perto de Yukon, Oklahoma . Ele tem bacharelado em inglês, mestrado em educação de inglês pela Oklahoma State University e mestrado em redação criativa pela Bowling Green State University . Heller começou a lecionar como instrutor de inglês na Ponca City High School . Em 1990, ele recebeu o prêmio Kansas Literary Artists Fellowship in Fiction, e em 1996 o Kansas Governor's Arts Award .
