Michael N. Nagler (nascido em 20 de janeiro de 1937) é um acadêmico americano , educador não violento , mentor, meditador e ativista pela paz.

Vida

Nagler é professor emérito de Clássicos e Literatura Comparada na UC Berkeley , onde fundou o Programa de Estudos sobre Paz e Conflitos e ministrou cursos de divisões superiores sobre não violência, meditação e um seminário sobre o significado da vida. Nagler também participou do Movimento pela Liberdade de Expressão . Ele é presidente do Metta Center for Nonviolence e autor de The Search for a Nonviolent Future , The Nonviolence Handbook e The Third Harmony: Nonviolence and the New Story of Human Nature (março de 2020), e co-apresentador da Nonviolence Radio e O Relatório de Não Violência. Em 2007, Michael recebeu o prêmio internacional Jamnalal Bajaj por Promover os Valores Gandhianos fora da Índia. Ele tem falado para a ONU , o Instituto da Paz dos Estados Unidos e muitos locais acadêmicos e públicos por mais de trinta anos.
